I'm a Slacker on Mount Buzhou, and Hongjun Begs Me Not to Leave the Mountain

I’m Su Che. I drank with Pangu in Chaos, then found things too boring after the world was created and retired halfway up Mount Buzhou.

Every day, I grow primordial spiritual roots, walk the young Qilin ancestor, write and play the zither. Life is as calm as still water.

Until one day, I found Houtu, an Ancestor Witch, being chased by ferocious beasts at the foot of the mountain.

I casually plucked a wilted tea leaf. With a flick of my finger, the beast, a Taiyi Golden Immortal, was reduced to ash.

Houtu knelt and wouldn’t get up. “Senior, the Witch Clan’s great calamity is coming. Please come out of seclusion!”

I silently took out a basket of freshly roasted Enlightenment Tea.

“Even if the sky falls, don’t make a fuss. Have some tea first.”

Far beyond the Thirty-Three Heavens, Hongjun crushed the Jade Disc of Creation on the spot.

He watched helplessly as I used the roots of the Chaos Green Lotus to weave a basket,

a jar molded from the soil of Guixu to hold water,

dead branches of the Jianmu Tree for firewood,

and even a ball of fluff made from Yuanfeng’s first feather to play with my cat...

The Dao Ancestor’s voice trembled as he growled deep within the Heavenly Dao:

“If this kid doesn’t die, my union with the Dao... will never be secure!”

But I only want to quietly be a couch potato.

Unfortunately, even the weeds outside my door have cultivated to become Great Encompass Golden Immortals.
