During the Cataclysm of the Investiture of the Gods, blood stained the skies above Biyou Palace.
Hongjun usurped the Heavenly Dao and set the Chan and Buddhist sects upon the ten thousand immortals of the Jie Sect, slaughtering them all. He branded every Jie Sect disciple a “heretical demon” and ensured they would never rise again.
Zhao Xuancheng, the least conspicuous rat demon disciple under Zhao Gongming, escaped death carrying the sacred artifact The Record of Severing Heaven, forged by the Master of the Heavens. He was cast adrift in the chaos beyond the heavens.
In this blind spot beyond the reach of the Heavenly Dao, he was a remnant of the Jie Sect whom anyone could bully, a lowly little demon with a bounty on his head from the Heavenly Punishment Camp.
But no one knew that
He carried the bloodline of a spirit-marked primordial rat, able to conceal his presence so thoroughly that even those an entire major realm above him could not detect him.
The Record of Severing Heaven could deduce loopholes in the Heavenly Dao, unlock the Jie Sect’s supreme legacy, and strip away the shackles of the Investiture of the Gods!
A Celestial Immortal could slay a Golden Immortal; a Taiyi could butcher a Great Encompassment. He would advance one step at a time, making blood debts be repaid in blood.
He would gather the survivors of Chaos, establish branch altars of Biyou Palace, and unseal Zhao Gongming, the Three Xiao Sisters, Duobao, and his other fellow disciples. The ten thousand immortals of the Jie Sect would reunite!
From a tiny spark of hope in a crevice of Chaos to the new master of the Jie Sect, commanding ten thousand immortals.
One day, he would shatter the barrier between heaven and earth and fight his way back to the Primordial World!
Tear down Yuxu Palace, trample Mount Ling, smash the Investiture of the Gods, and overturn Zixiao Palace!
Topple Hongjun’s ten-thousand-year dictatorship and create a new world without saints or shackles, where all living beings were equal!
