[Western Fantasy] [Dual Identities] [Subverting Expectations] [Lord] [Political Scheming] [Transmigration] [Lighthearted Comedy] [No System]
This messed-up world has a messed-up rule: every hero is a transmigrator, and after defeating the Demon King, the hero has to take their place. They can only rest once the next hero defeats them.
Think this is a clichéd tale about a dragon slayer becoming a dragon?
No, it’s a story about a miserable wage slave switching jobs and carrying on miserably.
I can be a good hero, and I can be a good Demon King. That’s because I’m strong, not because I love either job.
What I’d really like is to retire and slack off...
If I can’t solve my work problems, can I just get rid of the work itself?
Since the Demon King exists because of monsters, wouldn’t there be no need for a Demon King if there were no monsters?
But the light and dark routes are both full of pitfalls, and one wrong move could trigger a bad ending.
Watch me play this through and get the good ending on my first try.
Nice one, from Howard (another book by the author, from the Warhammer 40k series)
It feels pretty good. I really like this kind of light different world literature. Please update it.
