Is It Really So Strange for a Matchmaker Like Me to Court a Crown Prince?

[No System + no golden finger + clear-headed, beautiful heroine + both leads are each other’s first and only + happy ending]

Ye Li, a matchmaker who was driven to death by her clients, wakes up in a melodramatic historical novel she once read, one centered on a powerful heroine.

She’s become a cannon-fodder supporting character who didn’t survive past a single page, so she decides to live well on the original character’s behalf and avenge her, too.

Then she discovers that, as the daughter of a minister, she has a worse life than a maid.

To survive, Ye Li returns to her old trade and becomes a matchmaker once more.

Her marriage coaching classes are thriving, helping many women in vulnerable positions face reality and marry into powerful families.

She tells women poisoned by feudal thinking: “There isn’t a single man in this world who approaches you because he wants to love you. They’re all here to satisfy their own needs...”

There’s a rumor in the capital that no noble young master is beyond the reach of a woman trained by “Matchmaker Xi.”

Later, Ye Li has a change of heart: better to serve herself than make someone else’s match.

This time, she picks out a top-tier prince for herself.

At last, the prince takes the bait and plans to marry her.

Ye Li imagines becoming a noble princess, lying flat and enjoying a comfortable life, then living to a ripe old age and dying peacefully after a perfect life.

But the sinister villainous crown prince Jun Lingye, a cannon-fodder character from the novel, blocks her path. “Ye Li, so your goal has been me all along?”

Ye Li runs, he chases, and she can’t escape even if she had wings.

Ye Li: “Stay away from me, you damn crown prince! Who wants to win over a twisted pervert who likes skinning people alive...”
