Killing Authorization: I Flatten Everything with the System

This is a post-apocalyptic sci-fi fantasy novel featuring technology, mutations, and strange beasts. After a mysterious burst of energy tears open a wormhole, strange beasts invade. Humanity splits into two factions to fight back: those pursuing mechanical ascension and those pursuing psychic ascension. The father has gone missing, the mother died young, and the poor male protagonist has no home. Alone, he sets out on the Great Path and ends up at odds with the System. (The King is my own creation. You can think of him as your avatar. I started with an outline and have been writing it for years, but I still haven't figured out how to make some plot points work. If you're unhappy with something, the King can step in and change it. That's why I wrote him into the story early, so his later appearance wouldn't feel so abrupt.)
