In the post-apocalyptic wasteland known as Rust City, 22-year-old scavenger Luo Jin awakens an absurd ability: he can extract "concepts" from junk and turn trash into random artifacts.
A rusty gear plus a mutated scorpion's tail stinger makes a "Scorpion Sting Pistol" that can disable electronic devices. Discarded medical adhesive plus radioactive dust makes a "Radiation Plaster" that heals wounds but makes you dance uncontrollably. His creations work one moment and explode the next, and their side effects are always a mystery.
When the "Cleanse the Dust Church," rulers of the skies, brands him a heretic who must be eliminated, and the legendary underground dwellers known as the "Deep Ones" reveal the terrifying truth that the world devours emotions, Luo Jin realizes he isn't picking up trash, but weapons capable of overturning the world.
So, at the "Wall of Sighs" connecting heaven and hell, this man known as the "Mad Tinkerer" faces the church's entire holy army and smiles.
He spreads his arms and softly says to the rusted iron, withered vines, and fallen souls strewn across the ground:
"Now, let me show you how I can reassemble this pile of 'trash.'"
In the wasteland, he writes legends with junk. The side effects? They're just part of the fun.
