(Both leads are each other's first and only love + mistaken identity of the fiancé + sweet romance early on, mild captivity later)
Song Yunjiao is first enraged to death by a monkey, then taken by a System into the world of a book.
When she learns that failing her mission will mean being erased,
Song Yunjiao says, “No way. Even a dog wouldn't do it!” (furious version)
“Ten million?”
“Thirty million!”
The System grits its teeth. “One hundred million!”
“Deal! If a dog won't do it, I will!” (obsequious version)
Song Yunjiao struggles to maintain her persona as a vicious supporting female character, setting her sights on the male lead and trying to seduce him.
Strangely, even though the male lead looks like he's enjoying it, his affection rating has reached an astonishing minus forty!
Song Yunjiao: “System, hurry and check for me. Is the person inside the body the male lead?”
One day, the long-vanished
System suddenly appears. “Ah! Host, he's not the male lead at all! He's the major villain, Lin Jiangci!”
