The Demon Bureau's Ultimate Nepo Baby

As a chatterbox, I’m the only human consultant at the Bureau of Yokai Affairs. My partner is the agency’s universally acknowledged silent powerhouse. We solve cases entirely through my wild theories and his meaningful looks. We both see the other as a “fragile colleague” in need of protection. Then, during an S-rank mission, I take a fatal blow for him, and yokai power surges around me. He tears open space with his bare hands, blazing divine light filling the air. We both freeze at once. “...What exactly are you?”
