Supernatural: Everyone Uses Haunted Artifacts, but You Use Rules?

[No saintly do-gooders] [Mild horror] [Self-interest] [Not an invincible protagonist] [Survival at any cost]

Vengeful ghosts have risen again, slaughtering humans according to their rules. Ordinary people can only resist them by awakening their psychic power, wielding haunted artifacts, and becoming ghost tamers.

Yang Bai awakens SSS-rank psychic power, but for some unknown reason, he cannot wield haunted artifacts. Branded a useless nobody, he is even betrayed by his childhood sweetheart.

Then one day, a ball of flesh piled with eyes appears in his hand. It calls itself the Primordial Ghost, and its very first words leave Yang Bai stunned.

“Yang Bai, Yang Bai, do you want to become an immortal?”

Yang Bai becomes a ghost tamer. A ghost eye appears, and with it come rules that cannot be disobeyed:

[Rule One: Equivalent Exchange]

[Rule Two: ...]

From then on, the old Yang Bai disappears. All that remains in the world is a madman who uses the rules.

Others: “Haunted artifacts aren’t gifts, and ghost tamers aren’t lucky. We’re all prisoners of vengeful ghosts!”

Yang Bai: “Only the rules are everything. Vengeful ghosts are part of the rules, too. We are all their dependents.”

“Pay a price, reap a reward. That’s equivalent exchange!”

“Welcome to the world of rules.”
