In 2145, the holographic game "Twilight of the Gods" merged with reality, and 3.2 Billion players gained extraordinary abilities overnight. However, while hundreds of millions of NPCs were awakening their self-awareness, they were trapped in the identity cage of "grocery store owner", "blacksmith" and "village uncle". Su Ye, a Novice Village grocery store NPC with only three lines of dialogue, discovered that he had a bug-level ability - "Script Rewriting" after witnessing his own kind being killed by players as rare monsters, which allowed him to tamper with his own NPC settings.
