Back to 1937: The Nanjing Massacre Begins

[Dual Time Gate + Resistance War + Handing Everything Over to the Nation + Fervent Defense + Making Up for Past Regrets]

In 2037, Lin Weiguo, a recently discharged special forces soldier, ran his fingertips over his great-grandfather Lin Shouyi's name on the memorial wall. His eyes reddened. The fallen hero, who died in the defense of Ningcheng, and the vengeful spirits of tens of thousands of his fellow countrymen represented a wound etched into the nation's bloodline.

Suddenly, a pillar of light enveloped him, and Lin Weiguo transmigrated bodily to Ningcheng on December 12, 1937, just 24 hours before the horrific massacre of the city! Among the shattered walls and ruins, civilians wandered homeless, while Japanese artillery thundered outside the city. Despair pressed in from every direction.

In the depths of his grief, he awakened the [National Tragedy Redemption System], whose mission was to protect his fellow countrymen and support the resistance. Knowing that one person's strength was limited, Lin Weiguo immediately returned to 2037 and rushed to the theater command headquarters. “Sir! I've discovered a time gate connecting to Ningcheng in 1937. Our people are in grave danger. I request support!”

The news spread, moving all of China. After careful planning, the highest order was issued: “Provide every possible form of support to the resistance. Protect the lives of our people, and do not let history's tragedy happen again!”

Modern rescue forces and strategic supplies arrived through the time gate, fighting shoulder to shoulder with the resistance heroes of that era. When the Japanese army approached the refugee district, they used precise tactics to build a defensive line. When enemy planes tried to bomb the city, they joined forces with the defenders to foil the air raid. And when the invaders brazenly taunted them, they built an unbreakable shield with their courage and conviction.

Lin Weiguo tightened his grip on his rifle and charged alongside the fallen heroes. “In this life, we have come bearing the hopes of our predecessors. We will protect our homeland and keep it safe, honor our fallen countrymen, and make the invaders pay the price they deserve!”
