When he opened his eyes again, he had arrived in an unfamiliar world, appearing there out of nowhere. He was completely undocumented, but a golden finger, the sort often found in novels, helped fill in his records so he could live in this world.

After a kind stranger helped him enroll in junior high, he had been there only a few days when he was pulled into something called the “Game of Life and Death.” It wasn’t as if he wanted to go. Winning ten games in a row granted a wish, and he had been forcibly summoned with no way to resist.

“Forget it. I’m here now, so I might as well make the best of it…”
