Death Note: The Twin-Soul Paradox

Death Note: The Paradox of Two Souls

Beneath the crimson sunset in an abandoned stairwell, Yagami Light's soul should have vanished with his death. But his overwhelming obsession broke through the rules of the shinigami realm, clinging to the depths of the black notebook's cover. Ryuk, the shinigami, cast the forbidden object bearing the words “DEATH NOTE” back into the human world, where it landed in the hands of Morikawa Yu, a devoted Kira fan and social news editor.

The notebook's rules took effect once more. Morikawa Yu began punishing evildoers in Kira's name, unaware that he had already become a pawn in Light's ambition to rekindle his “new world.” Meanwhile, Near of Wammy's House was investigating the emergence of a “new Kira” when he accidentally awakened the soul attached to the detective's notebook left behind by L. The detective who had spent his life pursuing the truth returned to face his nemesis once more, still consumed by unfinished business.

Two souls awaken, and the battle between black and white begins anew. Light's obsession with power and L's obsession with the truth wage a battle from afar through their human Hosts. A loophole in the rules of the shinigami realm stirs chaos. The shinigami king watches with cold indifference, while Ryuk looks on with mocking amusement, making the game ever more perilous. The signal of death by heart attack once again tears through Tokyo's night sky. Will Kira's justice finally prevail, or will the detective's logic unravel the obsession? As souls bind themselves to notebooks and rules become bargaining chips, this paradoxical battle spanning life and death will test everyone's limits of justice.

As long as obsession endures, the game goes on. The darkest legend of wits and strategy opens its curtain once more through the fog where two souls intertwine.
