Great Ming: The Hundred-Year-Old Mad Grand Secretary Arrives at Court with His Coffin!

[Historical livestream + immortal, unhinged elder + coffin-bearing remonstrance unto death + childhood friendship + everyone pays the price]

In the fourteenth year of Zhengtong, the Ming's God of War, Zhu Qizhen, insists on personally leading an expedition.

The officials of the entire court weep and plead in vain, and the fate of the Ming dynasty hangs by a thread.

Suddenly, outside Wumen Gate, the blare of suona horns shakes the heavens!

Gu Canghai, a hundred-year-old grand secretary, childhood friend of the dynasty's founder, and veteran of six reigns, wears mourning robes.

He carries a red-lacquered coffin made of golden-thread nanmu wood on one shoulder and smashes straight through Wumen Gate!

“Zhu Chongba! Open your eyes and look!”

“Your worthless descendants are about to ruin your empire!”

“Today, I, your old servant Gu Canghai, have come to see the Ming emperor off... to his grave!!”

This scene is broadcast to the Hongwu era by a sudden livestream on the sky screen.

Zhu Yuanzhang spits out his tea:

“That's... Madman Gu? How is that old geezer still alive? Did he turn into some kind of turtle spirit?”

“Wait, who is he carrying that coffin to bury?!”

The sky screen begins its historical rundown, exposing the Ming dynasty's outrageous past:

[Hongwu era: He hanged himself in the Hall of Supreme Harmony and forced Zhu Yuanzhang to grind his ink!]

[Yongle era: He pointed a cannon at the Oirat leader and made him dance!]

[Xuande era: He skinned corrupt officials, stuffed them, and hung them up as wind chimes!]

Zhu Qizhen breaks down: “Grand Tutor! I won't go on the expedition! Please move the coffin!”

Gu Changqing grins:

“Too late! I've already played half a song on my suona. Your Majesty, you may as well lie down in the coffin!”
