Love Flows Back Like a River

On the first day Shen Qing transmigrates into the discarded consort of Prince Jin, a countdown appears in her mind: [Time Remaining: 365 days]. She decides to spend her final year embracing this man, cold as an iceberg, with passionate, clumsy devotion: bringing him carefully simmered soup, helping him resolve political crises, and "happening" to run into him along every route he takes, smiling as if she has never known sorrow. Wei Lan hates her clinginess and mocks her foolishness, never realizing that behind every radiant smile, she is quietly crossing off another day of her dwindling life.

When he finally falls for her, she collapses, coughing up blood. Only then does his heart break with grief: her pursuit, in which she had burned through her life, was a heartfelt farewell, knowing their parting was coming. "Please, don't go..." He searches the whole world for medicine, but all he can do is hold her cooling fingertips as she dissolves into streams of light.

Later, the history books record that Prince Jin died of old age and never remarried. No one knows that every day of his life, he waited for a soul that would never return.
