Livestreaming Taoist Exorcist: I’m Here to Beat the Evil Spirits

When Zhang Zai casually remarked on his livestream, “The fish tank is in the wrong place. There’s something behind it,” everyone thought he was just another charlatan trying to scare them. That is, until the police really did dig up a third body behind it. He had simply reached his conclusion based on common feng shui knowledge.

Overnight, Zhang Zai became an online sensation, hailed as “the internet’s greatest occult detective.” During livestream call-ins, he could infer a killer’s profession from the color of the curtains and reconstruct a crime from the layout of a room. The criminal investigation team became regular visitors, while the comments filled with “Master, you’re amazing!”

But nobody knew that with every case he solved, the energy fluctuations in Zhang Zai’s livestream grew stranger. Then he noticed runes identical to those on the victims appearing on his right arm. And the mysterious user “Nightwatching the Stars,” who held the top spot in his rankings every day and had tipped him a million, sent him a childhood photo taken at a Taoist temple.

“Did your master never tell you?” During their final call, the image warped into a blood-red altar. “Every ‘cursed place’ you deal with removes one more layer of my seal.”

Now, the livestream had surpassed ten million viewers, and the comments were scrolling by in a frenzy. The likes from everyone Zhang Zai had ever helped were gathering into a surging tide of sinister energy. He smiled at the camera, bit his finger, and drew one final talisman on the screen.

“Folks, today I’ll teach you how to refine our top donor into a pill.”
