The weather forecast said it would rain today, but no one said the rain would be the color of blood.
When the first crimson raindrop struck the office tower's glass, Lin Mo thought someone was playing a prank with paint. Then the entire sky turned red, and the first scream rose from below. Seventy-two hours later, the city had become hell. Concrete was melting, tap water was boiling, and everyone who had been caught in the rain had turned into a bloodthirsty monster with peeling skin.
Trapped on the 30th floor of an office building, Lin Mo watched his coworkers mutate one by one. He had to smash his boss's head with a printer, hack through a filing cabinet blocking the door with a fire axe, and climb through a pitch-black elevator shaft, all just to reach the convenience store on the first floor. There would be food and clean water there, along with the receptionist he'd had a crush on for two years... if she was still alive.
But the blood zombies weren't the most terrifying threat. It was the other human survivors. When Lin Mo discovered that his wounds could heal quickly, he became a "walking blood bank" coveted by every faction. Some wanted to dissect him to study his antibodies; others wanted to keep him as a permanent donor. In this fallen city, he had to learn one thing: trust was deadlier than the rain.
