Office of Paranormal Investigations

[Ensemble Cast + High Martial Arts + Mystery + No Romance]

Welcome to the Mysterious Case Investigation Bureau.

The city’s most secretive department takes in only the “messes” that science cannot explain and no one else will handle.

Director Shen Yao is a brilliant rich kid, sent by his father to take charge of this ridiculous operation. He plans to coast through the job until the first case comes knocking.

His subordinates are no less troublesome:

· Sui Ling, the undisputed strongest fighter, a cold, idle type who only listens to Shen Yao and is always ready to send spirits packing by force;

· Su Mengmeng, a stubborn straight shooter who believes justice is won with fists and would rather act than think;

· Li Zhiwei, a stickler for detail who can piece together astonishing truths from the tiniest clues;

· Nan Feng, a scholar of Taoist arts, well versed in esoteric techniques and responsible for explaining the “unscientific” phenomena;

· Shen Yunjie, the king of connections, who can get his hands on any obscure supplies or insider information.

It all begins with the mysterious shadows beneath Qinglan Reservoir. One urban legend after another comes to light: an old apartment elevator that always stops at a nonexistent floor at midnight, an influencer’s livestream where strange bloody words appear in the mirror, and an empty bus station that only appears at midnight.

With a lollipop in his mouth, Shen Yao leads this oddball team, constantly teetering between science and the supernatural.

They must not only face the unknown, but also uncover the truths about human nature behind each anomalous event, where people have been consumed by desire, obsession, and fear.

“We don’t just deal with anomalies. We deal with the cracks that form when human nature spirals out of control.”
