Designer Li Xing is a complete failure in life. Then one morning, he sees a reflection in the mirror that is nothing like him and realizes in terror that whenever he falls asleep, his consciousness tumbles at random into a bizarre parallel world.
Here, time shatters like glass, and space overlaps like a maze. He is a scavenger in a post-apocalyptic wasteland, an invisible man in a cyberpunk city, an apprentice “squib” at a magic academy... Countless fragments of lives form an infinitely vast prison. He thinks they are only a series of nightmares he experiences firsthand, until, in one world, an observer from the “upper levels” whispers in his ear:
“Do you think you’re a tourist who wandered in here by mistake? No. You’re a prisoner trapped here, just like us.”
