The Plot Fell Apart After a Background Character Dumped the Male Lead

[Clear-headed heroine goes from an extra to the leading lady vs. hero awakens a split personality + one-on-one romance + devoted to each other + rekindled love] Lu Wanxing had secretly loved Lu Jingnian for seven years and planned to confess before graduating from college. Right after she confessed, something claiming to be a System appeared and said the world was about to be destroyed. The System fell from the sky, bound itself to her, and begged her to help fix the world’s bugs. “So Lu Jingnian is the male lead, and the female lead hasn’t appeared yet, so I can’t confess to him? Those two things aren’t necessarily connected.” “You’re just an extra in the story. How can you confess to the male lead?” After learning that she was an extra in a redemption novel, Lu Wanxing began avoiding Lu Jingnian. Who knew he would come looking for her himself? It was bad enough that the aloof male lead suddenly developed a split personality; he also insisted on being with her. The System urged her to agree so it could fix the bug. For the sake of a hundred million, she had no choice but to accept through tears. When the story began, Lu Wanxing seized an unexpected opportunity and decisively left. Five years later, the two met again, and the System once more began its frantic efforts to keep the world on track.
