A few years later, the plot still gets underway.
Gloomy male supporting character: “Make her lose the entire Xie family fortune tonight.”
Underling: “Bad news, boss! Xie Shuyu keeps winning!”
The gloomy male supporting character grits his teeth. “Find someone to run her over.”
Underling: “Bad news, boss! She's in the ICU.”
The gloomy male supporting character smiles faintly, finally feeling a little like he'd avenged himself. “Excellent...”
Underling: “The ICU, boss. Our people are there, and Xie Shuyu's... only got a little dirt on her clothes!”
The gloomy male supporting character flies into a rage. His underlings can barely hold him back. “I'll kill her myself! Aaaah!”
In the end, the gloomy male supporting character discovers that even after he tanks the Xie family, this woman is still living the high life.
The gloomy male supporting character makes a bold decision. “I'll imprison her for two years. An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.”
Later, the butler says, “Sir, Miss Xie has been working very hard lately. She's gotten a fire safety certificate, a construction certificate, a Mandarin certificate, a teaching certificate, and civil service...”
The gloomy male supporting character completely breaks down. “Who told you to buy her study materials?”
In the end, the gloomy male supporting character decides that if he can't make her his enemy, he'll make her fall in love with him and pine for him, this wicked woman Xie Shuyu.
