Female lead: Su Lele, a modern overworked office worker and hilarious food blogger. After pulling an all-nighter to finish an article and working herself to death, she transmigrates to the Beast World and gets bound to the Beast World Poverty Alleviation and Prosperity System. Bubbly and quick with a witty retort, she’s a fantastic cook with an irresistible charm, but she’s also hilariously oblivious. She mistakes the male leads’ secret crushes for brotherly affection, and devotes her days to transforming the Beast World with delicious food and absurd antics.
System: A quirky, laid-back System whose missions are full of ridiculous demands, such as “get ten beastfolk to give up eating raw meat” and “invent the Beast World’s first spicy snack sticks.” Its rewards are random and outrageous: chili seeds, pressure cooker blueprints, “+10 beastfolk affection,” or a hilarious buff that doubles her speed when she’s being chased by a ferocious beast. It also regularly trades barbs with Su Lele.
Beast World setting: A wild and hilariously chaotic continent populated by endearingly contradictory tribes: the Tiger Tribe, whose members are the strongest fighters but all foodies; the Fox Tribe, stunningly beautiful but fond of scams; the Bear Tribe, incredibly strong yet afraid of the dark; and the Sheep Tribe, gentle and timid but hopeless cooks. The tribes settle their disputes by “snatching ingredients,” “competing in cooking,” and “trading insults.” A good meal beats fighting any day.
