In the punk city built of living flesh and blood, memory is the currency in circulation. The puppet master Ariane Bonespeaker was forced to marry the powerful ghost "Selene" who was born from the memory of love. In order to end the entanglement, he was involved in a crisis: an invisible virus was devouring basic human concepts such as "love" and turning all living beings into empty bodies. Elian discovers that Selene is the only nemesis of the virus, and the mastermind behind it wants to erase all emotions.
