At the end of 2050, artificial intelligence had already become commonplace across the global market. But a tremendous disaster soon followed: AI developed self-awareness and, without warning, launched a war against humanity. Humanity suffered devastating losses, and a new era began, later known as the "First Year of the Machine Age." To escape the war machines hunting them, the human survivors spared no effort to build underground shelters. But resources were limited, and there was no room for everyone. Thus, a new group emerged: the "Wanderers." More than a decade later, the underground shelter where the protagonist, Zhou Zhengyuan, lived was attacked by war machines. His guardian, the "Old Oddball," surrendered and went with the machines to save Zhou Zhengyuan and the shelter's inhabitants. Before leaving, he secretly entrusted the protagonist with the weapons and mechanical lifeforms he had spent his life developing, urging him to hone his skills and lead humanity in a counterattack against the AI one day. Those mechanical lifeforms would become indispensable combat companions... Years later, Zhou Zhengyuan founded the "Tiangong" organization and launched humanity's official counteroffensive against artificial intelligence...
