A new work is here! You’re welcome to read my novel on Tomato Novel. I hope you’ll enjoy it, and I’d love to have your support.
Worldbuilding: The “Brahma Immortal Realm” blends Buddhist traditions with traditional cultivation. Buddhism, Daoism, demons, and monsters coexist. The corpse calamity has raged for a thousand years without end. The cultivation world appears prosperous on the surface, but is rotten within.
A unique premise: “Slaying the Three Corpses” is not exclusive to Daoism. Buddhism also has a method of “severing the Three Poisons.” The protagonist discovers that combining the two could break through the boundaries of the world and achieve transcendence, but no one has ever succeeded.
Power systems:
· Buddhism: Precepts → Meditation → Prajna → Arhat → Bodhisattva → Buddha
· Daoism: Qi Refining → Foundation Establishment → Golden Core → Nascent Soul → Deification → Tribulation Crossing
· The path of fusion: For each corpse slain or poison severed, one must also break through the corresponding Buddhist and Daoist realms to forge the “Precept-Blade Golden Body.”
II. The Protagonist
Name: Shi Jie (lay name: Li Duanchen)
Background: Once an outcast of the Buddhist school, he was expelled for questioning the doctrine of “saving corpses without slaying them.” He carries the Buddhist treasure, the “Immaculate Precept Blade.” It looks battered and old, but was actually left behind by the first Arhat to slay a corpse.
Personality:
· Cold on the outside, warm on the inside; decisive in killing, but never wantonly cruel
· Hates the corpse calamity, but is also critical of the “immortals”
· Holds firmly to the principle of “slay what must be slain,” without being constrained by sectarian prejudice
Unique abilities:
1. Precept Blade Mantra: Each precept he upholds unlocks another layer of the blade’s seal, including the precepts against killing, stealing, sexual misconduct, lying, and drinking.
2. Immunity to Corpse Poison: Wounded by a Corpse King as a child, he survived and gained resistance.
3. Dual Buddhist and Daoist Vision: He can see both the “threads of karma” and the “flow of spiritual energy.”
Writing is what drives me. I’ll do my best to tell every story well!
