Feel-good action + no romance + ensemble cast + Eastern fantasy + mythical beasts + intangible cultural heritage silverwork + a two-way bond with the nation + episodic stories + a cast of career-driven characters + secret identities. Also known as Order Restored Under Heaven.
In the year 2962 of the Star Era, monsters run rampant, infiltrators lurk in the shadows, and humanity faces a bleak future.
Ruan Mingqiu × Fu Shiyu × Xu Muye × Su Qingwu × Mu Zhiyu
The five are brought together by fate and form the Order Squad. Ruan Mingqiu unexpectedly discovers that her teammates are connected to the Four Symbols' guardians, and that her silver artifact, Chongming, may be more than it seems. (The pace is a little slow at first, because I don't think they should become close companions who trust each other unconditionally the moment they meet.) The main plot gets underway from chapter twenty.
Seven cities, seven stories. Each story stands on its own while also connecting to the main plot:
Dongyun arc: complete.
Twins arc: Su Wangyan × Su Wangxiang. Complete.
“No one can succeed by completely imitating someone else.”
“If you have an idea, go for it. Don't leave yourself with regrets.”
Grandfather and grandson arc: Uncle Yun × Yun Che. Temporarily complete.
“If you can't escape, you might as well give it everything you've got.”
Flourishing Blossoms arc: complete.
Married couple arc: Su Qingyuan × Zhou Xuanling. Complete.
“How many tomorrows does a person have?”
“We only need to make the most of each day as it comes.”
Coastal arc: complete.
Close friends arc: Wen Qiang × Wang Bingchen. Complete.
“Even if everyone else gives up on you, you must never give up on yourself.”
Ruan Mingqiu's past gradually comes to light... It turns out she has so many secret identities!
In this troubled world, the five members of the Order Squad are like a breath of fresh air.
Wield Chongming as a blade and command the power of the Four Symbols to sweep away the gloom of the apocalypse and protect the faint light of humanity! Awakened ones from all corners flock to join them. Who says Huaxia has no one? We are all aces up our sleeve.
The subject matter is novel.
Are women still awakening?? There are only two women in the five-person team. First of all, there is a problem with the male-to-female ratio.
