Mr. Da of the Republic of China: 20 Outstanding Cultural Builders

Teacher Yang Zao from the Institute of Literature, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, will talk about 20 gentlemen of the Republic of China. Through its collection of works and deeds, it shows their life trajectory, ideological spirit, and academic pursuit; and reveals how they influence the development of Chinese culture and our spiritual life today. Lu Xun, Hu Shi, Chen Yinke, Liang Qichao, Cai Yuanpei, Gu Hongming... These names all seem very familiar. "If you don't explode in silence, you will perish in silence", "Strong young people will make the country strong", "Freedom of thought and inclusiveness", Mr. Wang's words and thoughts have pierced the sky of history and are still shining brightly to this day. But if you think about it carefully, they are "familiar strangers." Do you understand their ups and downs in life, and how their upbringing and experiences shaped their personalities? Do you know their contribution to modern Chinese culture and how they created and constructed the spiritual world of the Chinese people?
