Synopsis of Starry Ruins: Embers of the Spacetime Revenge
In Star Era 3027, Lin Ye, chief scientist aboard the Ark Seven colony ship, is betrayed by his childhood friend Qin Yue. His fiancée Xia Wan is killed, his life’s work is coveted, and the entire colony ship is destroyed when its energy core melts down. At death’s door, he activates the quantum spacetime shuttle he spent ten years developing and returns a century into the past, to the dawn of the Colonial Alliance’s rise. His body has also reverted to the age of twenty.
After landing on the wasteland planet Rust Iron, Lin Ye starts out in the slums of Crow District. With his advanced technological knowledge, he establishes himself in a machine workshop, then uses an electromagnetic pulse device to bring the Crow Gang under his control and build a foothold. He precisely ambushes the Colonial Alliance’s quantum ore transport convoy, cuts off the supply of raw materials for the quantum energy project led by Qin Yue’s grandfather, Qin Shan, and even assassinates Qin Shan himself, bringing the Alliance’s core plans for expansion to a halt.
To fight back against the increasingly aggressive Colonial Alliance, Lin Ye unites all the resistance forces on Rust Iron and forms the Starfire Alliance. He also launches the starship project, building the Starfire Fleet, equipped with quantum energy cores and spacetime ripple cannons. When Qin Yue, who has transmigrated through time, appears to thwart him, Lin Ye leads his fleet into a final showdown and uses the spacetime ripple cannon to end his sworn enemy once and for all.
In the end, Lin Ye leads the Starfire Fleet in breaking through to the Colonial Alliance’s home planet and overthrowing its iron-fisted rule. Ten years later, a new era of peace and prosperity dawns across the Orion Arm. Having stepped down as alliance leader, Lin Ye pilots an interstellar battleship toward the frontiers of the universe, embarking on a new life as an explorer.
