Ling Chen came to a China similar to his previous life, but full of Pokémon. There is the alliance symbolized by the Yusan Family, the glory of the gym and the gorgeous competition, and the shadow of the organization lurking in the dark. His father was the champion of the Shining Magnificent Competition; his mother was a powerful gym leader. Both of his parents died and disappeared while protecting the city, leaving him with only a mysterious wristband and an initial partner that everyone considered "unsuitable to fight" - Curly Ear.
