In the secluded world, light and darkness are intertwined; humans and ghosts have different paths, but their desires have the same root.
Legend has it that there was a traveler who traveled around mountains, rivers, cities, desolate villages and ancient temples, accompanied by clouds and neon lights, and wearing bamboo sticks and mango shoes. Not looking for immortals, not visiting Taoism, but only recording the anecdotes in the world of mortals that are bred by human obsession and are annihilated in the cycle of cause and effect.
Now I have obtained several fragments of the volumes, which I have transcribed here, and I invite you to share them with me:
· Have you ever seen a woman who is willing to shed her memories and soul into a fountain in order to preserve her youthful appearance?
·Have you ever seen a painter who steals people's luck with his pen and ink, and is eventually swallowed up by the blood and tears of thousands of people?
·Have you ever seen a fool who borrows love from the netherworld, but has to spend eternity to pay it back?
·Have you ever seen that the gentle man who borrowed an umbrella from you in the night rain, maybe he wanted to borrow your life for a day to taste the joy you have never tasted and to love the person you have never loved?
In this story, fox ghosts are nothing more than superficial appearances, and wind and moon are nothing more than phantoms. What is truly terrifying is always the bottomless abyss of the human heart beneath the surface; what is truly worthy of compassion is the greed, anger, ignorance, love, desire, and delusion that mortals cannot escape from behind the phantom.
After reading the entire volume, the demonic mist dissipates. What you see is not anecdotes from a foreign land, but reflections of those things that we dare not say but are real in the depths of our souls.
——It means that the clear and strange news are recorded to gauge people's hearts.
