[The flower I raised wasn't a flower. It was a bug in the world.]

I'm Lin Xi, a thirty-year-old flower shop owner. One day, I found a dying rose in my greenhouse.

On the seventh day, it turned into a barefoot girl. Filthy and disheveled, she called me “Big Sister,” and would turn transparent whenever she went too far away from me.

My heart softened, so I took her in, bought her dresses, and taught her to read.

She was sweet and obedient, though every so often she'd make the flowers in my shop bloom in impossible colors.

I thought it was fate's gift, until a mysterious organization came to my door and pointed a gun at my forehead.

“Hand over that ‘rule entity,’ or we'll eliminate you.”

Before I could respond, the girl who'd always been so soft and sweet behind me suddenly smiled.

She reached out and crushed the bullet, and the roses along the entire street instantly grew wild, turning into a cage of thorns.

She tilted her head toward me, her eyes filled with a divine coldness I'd never seen before.

“Big Sister, it's my turn to protect you now.”

Only later did I learn

The thing I found wasn't a flower. It was a fallen god.

The one I raised wasn't human. She was the very rule that governed the world.

And the only authority capable of controlling her had long been inscribed into my life.
