The Nation-Defending Noble Daughter: You'll Become Empress by Winning the Imperial Exams?

[Imperial examinations and political intrigue] The legitimate daughter kept her edge hidden for years, then astonished the court in a single palace examination

She is the most reserved legitimate daughter of the Duke of Zhenguo’s household. For over a decade, Shen Zhiwei has concealed her brilliance and bided her time, moving carefully through the household as she waits for the day she can ride the wind to the top.

When the imperial examinations begin, she takes up her brush and competes as a woman, her essays shaking the court and her knowledge of military strategy securing the frontier. From the provincial exam to the palace exam, she reveals her full brilliance, takes top honors in all three examinations, and becomes the most dazzling first female top scholar since the founding of the Dayin dynasty.

Before the Golden Throne, the emperor praises her talent even as he fears a woman wielding power. Huo Lianchuan, a powerful minister, hides a blade behind his smile, while the likes of the chief minister denounce her at every turn.

Though the court seethes with undercurrents, the gentle and refined Prince Rui, Pei Yan, is always there to quietly help her. But what lies hidden in those eyes: moonlight, or an abyss?

The realm is divided in three, and the court is a maze of intrigue.

Watch how a remarkable female official uses her extraordinary talent to shatter conspiracies, seize power, and win the people’s hearts, carving out her own path to the clouds!

In the end, the realm should belong to whoever can bring peace and prosperity to the people. Whether that person is a man or a woman, history will record the truth, and the people will bear witness.
