(Important disclaimer: The author is a Rust player who plays casually. I’m writing this book to save up for the game, so some of the numbers may not make sense. The story combines elements from Rust, Delta Force, Arena Breakout, and other games.)
Here’s the story introduction:
In 4050, advanced technology has created a vast gap between social classes, and fewer and fewer people have a chance to rise to the top. In response, the Federation Empire launches Corrosion, a 30-day survival battle royale game. Players compete for a share of 100 million Alliance Coins. The competition progresses through small-area qualifiers, regional leagues, provincial tournaments, the national Alliance tournament, intercontinental championships, and the world championship. Only those who make it to the world championship qualify for a share of the prize money.
Everyone else is striving toward that goal, trading gunfire and plotting against one another.
The protagonist, Chen Ming, says: “Wait, what? I was just planning to brag to my friends. How did I qualify?!”
(The author is no good at writing blurbs, so please head straight to the story.)
