The Twin Dragon Swords of Bingyu: Synopsis
The Twin Dragon Swords of Bingyu is an epic fantasy wuxia novel crafted especially for Bingyugou, a renowned scenic area in Zhuanghe, Dalian, Liaoning.
In the nineteenth year of the Zhenguan era of the Tang dynasty, Emperor Taizong, Li Shimin, led a hundred generals and tens of thousands of troops to Liaodong to subdue the people of Goguryeo. They camped overnight at Bingyu, where they used Fuxi's Eight Trigrams Sword to seal the physical forms of the Black and Yellow Dragons, sons of the Dragon King of the Yellow Sea, beneath Moon Sword Pool. They were unable to find the sword.
Two years later, the Black and Yellow Dragons appeared in a dream, pleading to be released. The emperor sent General Xue Zhongyi to Bingyu to find the sword, but he failed and died.
Years later, the Li dynasty faced two great calamities. The Black Dragon's spiritual essence, An Lushan, raised an army in rebellion, but failed, bringing misery to the people for nothing. After the Li dynasty's fortunes took many turns and the Later Zhou dynasty came to power, the Yellow Dragon's spiritual essence, Zhao Kuangyin, had the yellow robe placed upon him without the need for war, and he founded the Song dynasty.
A thousand years later, in the middle of the Qing dynasty, the Black Dragon's spiritual essence, dissatisfied with the Yellow Dragon's cultivation, sought to unleash chaos once more.
Master Xuanyi, abbot of Bingyu's Sacred Water Temple, deciphered the secrets of Heaven. To save the people from disaster, he raised the son of Xue Ye, a descendant of General Xue Zhongyi, and taught him martial arts. Eighteen years later, on the fifteenth day of the third month, beneath a bright full moon, the young man would seek the sword once more and stop the Black Dragon's spiritual essence from wreaking havoc.
Jiang Zhengfu, leader of the Western Regions' Heavenly Cult, was obsessed with treasures. After learning of the secret, he rushed to Bingyu and resorted to any means necessary to obtain the Eight Trigrams Sword, a treasure of incomparable beauty.
Nangong Yihe, leader of the Ice Demon Cult, feared that the Eight Trigrams Sword might reappear and counter his invincible Blood Fiend Ice-Cold Art, so he too did everything he could to stop it.
And so, over Fuxi's Eight Trigrams Sword, a Buddhist, a demon, and a Daoist clashed in one upheaval after another. Good and evil vied for supremacy as a tale of deep family bonds and love unfolded.
