(Post-apocalyptic survival, warlord story, no System, no golden finger, scheming protagonist.)
After nuclear war, the world freezes over, civilization collapses, and warlords rise everywhere.
Jiang Shunian, a young man forcibly conscripted into the army, crawls out of a pile of corpses and makes his way back to his hometown, Dongjiang County. He gathers a security regiment of barely two hundred men and puts down roots in frozen earth where temperatures plunge to thirty or forty degrees below zero.
But in this world, no one is allowed to live in peace. The Salvation Army, with fifty thousand troops, wants to swallow him up. The well-armed Self-Defense Army wants to use him. Faced with threats and temptations, he acts without hesitation, shoots a negotiator dead, and switches sides. Yet the “reinforcements” he gets in return are five hundred starving wretches who can barely hold a rifle steady.
Everyone thinks he’s ended up with a pile of useless trash. But Jiang Shunian brings hot porridge to the group and says, “Let them eat their fill first. Let them know who gave them this chance to live.”
On this frozen wasteland where humanity has fallen apart, a taciturn young man must lead a ragtag force nobody believes in and carve out a position so solid that no one can break through.
A very exciting apocalyptic novel, definitely a unique work among Tomatoes. The war and struggle are described very realistically, but of course there are still shortcomings. In short, it is a work that cannot be missed if you are interested in apocalyptic novels and power struggle novels 👍👍👍😳
