In 2027, the entire world underwent a sudden transformation. Blood-red portals tore across the sky like a nightmare, unleashing billions of alien beasts in a flood. Human civilization teetered on the brink of destruction, caught between steel and claws. At this darkest hour, Liang Bing emerged and joined the highest decision-making body of the Human Federation under the title of "Prophet."
Ignoring the doubts, he voluntarily revealed his inheritance and taught everyone the ways of high martial arts. Under his leadership, humanity fought bloody battles and finally drove the alien beasts back through the portals, rebuilding Earth's defenses.
Having achieved fame and success, he should have been basking in glory. Yet the tenderness of the person beside him in bed turned out to be a deadly disguise. Ning Xin coveted the ultimate secret behind Liang Bing's rise to "mythic" status, and conspired with Xu Guilang, Liang Bing's former childhood friend.
Overnight, everything changed. They maliciously rewrote history, slandering Liang Bing's "prophecies" as deceptive lies meant to manipulate people, and smearing the hero who had saved the world as a fraud. The immortal powerhouses of the Nine Great Cities were deceived, and they gathered an army of a million to attack the very benefactor who had once saved them.
Looking at the people he had once protected beneath the city walls, Liang Bing lost all hope. If the whole world was drunk, then he would reduce everything to nothing! Amid a storm of curses, Liang Bing detonated his divine body, transforming into a brilliant streak of blood-red light.
When he opened his eyes again, he had been reborn twenty years later in the body of a young man his family had branded a "traitor," amid a towering slum of garbage. Gazing at the magnificent main city in the distance, he felt the power surging through him once more and smiled coldly.
"I hadn't wanted to reach mythic status this way... But since you want the secret, this time I'll step over the corpses of the Nine Great Cities and defy heaven to prove my Dao!"
