I Transmigrated to the 1970s: The Metaphysics Expert Explains Science the Hard Way

[Romantic suspense + devoted to each other + satisfying revenge + transmigration + metaphysics + military marriage, with twists and laughs throughout.]

[Red-blooded metaphysics master + tough but tender soldier, two strong leads devoted to each other]

Ji Li, a metaphysics master, is struck by her own compass. When she opens her eyes, she has become the spoiled daughter of a capitalist family, sent down to the countryside in the 1970s.

In this era of “smashing feudal superstition,” Ji Li pinches a divination charm with one hand and raises her little red book with the other:

“Comrade, we must reject feudal superstition, but how about learning feng shui through dialectical materialism?”

A cold-faced military officer with a scar across his brow tucks a letter breaking off their engagement into his jacket. He watches her use the science of phosphorescence to debunk “ghost lights” and psychology to expose charlatans… until she becomes an exemplary figure in the campaign against superstition.

Later:

She uses metaphysics to help him crack a case involving a gang trying to steal China’s metaphysical cultural heritage.

He teaches her to shoot, fight, and defend herself.

She’s full of scientific explanations in public, while privately rushing around with metaphysics and feng shui.

He claims, “I don’t believe in fate. I believe in the life I’ve forged for myself,” but secretly keeps watch and clears the way for her: “I believe you.”

Later still:

The commander personally commends her: “Comrade Lin Jili used science to protect our country’s cultural heritage. First-class merit!”

The cold-faced officer corners her against the wall. “Comrade Ji Li, it’s time we dealt with our personal affairs.”

Ji Li looks at his reddened forehead, a sign of an impending romantic disaster, and smiles. “Comrade Zhou, according to the dialectical materialist view of love and marriage, I suggest we get our marriage certificate first, then slowly resolve the disaster.”
