After waking from a nap, antique appraisal master Gu Yichen transmigrates to 1959, becoming a junk dealer in a Beijing courtyard.

He activates the [Antique-Appraisal Eye System] from the start. His eyes can identify the authenticity of any antique!

Third Uncle brings in a pile of “junk” to sell for two mao, crowing, “Little Gu, you’re going to lose money on this deal!”

Gu Yichen looks at the “broken bowl,” a cold smile tugging at his lips.

A Song-dynasty Ru kiln bowl with an azure glaze, one of only 67 in existence! That very night, it sells for 5,500 yuan.

The next day, Xu Damao brags about his “Ming-dynasty blue-and-white porcelain.” Gu Yichen sneers, “A Republic-era imitation, worth ten yuan.”

Xu Damao flies into a rage and makes a bet. When the experts finish their appraisal, he’s left dumbstruck!

From then on, nobody in the courtyard dares look down on this “junk collector.”

The museum issues an urgent invitation. The daughter of the deputy director of the Cultural Relics Bureau falls for him, and the wealthy Lou family offers a fortune for his help...

Third Uncle looks at the “junk” he sold years ago, now listed at 80 million yuan, and faints on the spot.

Years after getting out of prison, Xu Damao returns. Looking at Gu Yichen, he breaks down in despair: “That should have been my life...”

From junk collector to master appraiser, Gu Yichen’s larger-than-life life begins in the courtyard...
