Pokemon: Wings of Blazing Flame

I'm a new author, so feel free to share suggestions or tell me which Pokemon you like. The battle system in this story uses Mega Evolution only. There's one female lead, no System, no overpowered protagonist, and a slow-burn pace. Here's the official synopsis:

In the parallel world of 2099 Star Era, where Pokemon and humans live side by side, the Yang and Su families of Binhai have been rivals for generations. Young Yang Ling sets out on a journey bearing a Poke Ball containing an extraordinary Charmander and the responsibility of protecting his family. His clashes with his nemesis, Su Mufeng, are as frequent as fire and water. From Gym Challenge tournaments to international league arenas, he catches powerful partners such as Garchomp and Tyranitar, and unlocks the ultimate power of Mega Charizard X. When a wave of bloodshed sweeps through the international black market and legendary Pokemon like Palkia and Dialga descend into a chaotic battle, Yang Ling will take to the skies on blazing wings, joining hands with the one he loves, Ji Muyun, to shoulder the burden of protecting the world in troubled times and write his own legend as a Pokemon Master.
