Wangyu Village, a small coastal fishing village on the edge of the modern city, has beautiful scenery but a backward economy. Most young people go out to work, and most of the elderly and children are left behind. Offshore fishery resources are increasingly depleted due to overfishing. Our male protagonist Lin Zhou, 24 years old, is an unemployed social worker in a big city. He has a calm and resilient personality. He grew up in Wangyu Village. He resigned and returned to his hometown to take care of his grandmother because of her illness, and inherited the family's small fishing boat and old yard.
