Six-year-old An An was abused by her adoptive parents and accidentally saved Shen Zhihan, who wanted to commit suicide by jumping off a cliff. Shen Zhihan originally wanted to die, but was moved by An An's innocent childlike words, gave up the idea of suicide, and adopted her. Shen Zhihan discovered that An An could understand the language of animals, and learned that An An had been abused by her adoptive parents. She felt very distressed and vowed to protect her and help her get out of trouble.
