Blood Fox Ballad: The Rise and Fall of Tianwu
Synopsis
Overnight, the prince's residence was destroyed and Chu City ran red with blood. He was once the young lord of the Lu family, but in a single night he became an orphan on the run. Eight-year-old Lu Xiaoyan watched helplessly as his parents were killed and his home reduced to ashes. Protected at the cost of their lives by loyal servants and righteous allies, he plunged into the depths of fate, carrying his sister's blood oath of revenge.
Six years passed in hardship and wandering. From prosperous Zhongzhou to the barren southern frontier, he concealed his identity and endured every bitter turn of life. His fortunes began to change deep in the Purple Bamboo Grove, where an injured white fox, an ancient spiritual spring, and the mysterious Profound Nether Heart Art opened the door to defying fate.
He was a lowly servant disciple bullied by everyone in his sect, yet also the chosen one whose meridians were transformed in the spiritual spring.
He was a traitor in the eyes of the righteous, accused of conspiring with demons, yet the only one who captured the heart of the demon queen after her rebirth.
She was Liyue, supreme queen of the western wastelands' demon clan. After her people were slaughtered and she was gravely wounded, she was reborn as a fox. Proud and cold as snow, with a thirst for revenge like wildfire, she nevertheless felt her heart stir as she guarded him day after day.
When he astonished everyone by rising from a servant's status at the sect tournament, and she exposed the righteous sects' hypocritical truth about the demon hunt at the Immortal Sects Assembly, two hearts burdened by blood feuds chose to protect each other in the narrow space between warring sides of good and evil.
