The 189-Centimeter Equipment Nerd and His Sly Male Roommate

On Monday of his freshman year, Zhou Yi, a 189-centimeter-tall Northeastern guy from a wealthy family who is certain he’s straight, pushes open the door to Dorm 418. At that moment, his life takes a completely different turn.

Qing Yu, in the bed across from his, is standing on a ladder, arranging his bed curtains. The afternoon sunlight outlines his slender ankles and delicate profile. When he looks up, there’s a smile in his eyes, soft as the misty waters of Jiangnan. Zhou Yi’s heart skips a beat for the first time in his life.

Qing Yu, a 19-year-old boy from Suzhou who has known his own sexuality for years, hears the gears of fate turn the moment he lays eyes on Zhou Yi. He decides to patiently draw in this seemingly impenetrable net, little by little.

And so, the atmosphere in Dorm 418 becomes bizarre:

· Zhou Yi, a homophobe and “straight guy,” starts “involuntarily” getting food and saving seats for Qing Yu. He even blurts out, “Of course I’m the one who has to protect my wife,” then freezes in place himself.

· Qing Yu wears oversized shirts (and occasionally an elegant little dress), shows off his pale legs, and softly says, “Honey, I don’t know how to do this,” leaving Zhou Yi blushing and at a loss.

· Honest, easygoing Li Hao, the second roommate, remarks during a workout, “You two have a stronger bond than me and my dumbbells!”

· Chen Xiaofei, the tech-savvy third roommate, adjusts his glasses and quietly backs up every high-definition video of “Zhou Yu” together, keeping his good deeds to himself.
