Tales of a Fox Wedding in Twin Mountain Valley

In Shuangshangou, sealed beneath a blanket of cold mist, a bloody calamity leaves the Wang family’s twin sisters, Dahong and Erhong, orphaned. At their most desperate, the handsome peddler Shen Yuheng appears uninvited. He gives generously and personally takes charge of the funeral arrangements. With his attentive warmth, he becomes a “glimmer of light” in the sisters’ gloom, earning the villagers’ praise and the complete dependence of the frail Erhong.

Only the resilient Dahong remains wary. She notices the faint, unpleasant odor about him and the strange fact that he can walk through the fog without getting mud on his feet. The village elders’ warning that “fox demons disguise themselves to harm people” lingers in her mind.

No one knows that this warmth is a carefully woven death trap. Shen Yuheng has been lying in wait here, coveting the pure vital essence of the two unmarried twin sisters. They are a once-in-a-century cultivation furnace, just what he needs to break through his bottleneck. He plans every step, determined to make them fall willingly into his snare.

Warmth and murderous intent coexist; dependence and wariness pull against each other. In this contest between humans and a demon in the remote mountains, will the fox demon get what he wants, or will the orphans break through the deception and fight back against all odds?
