A Birthday Gift from the Future

My Grandson Sent Me a Cheat, and the Whole Class's Dislike Scores Exploded

On my seventeenth birthday, I received a gift from someone claiming to be from the year 2082.

A pair of smart glasses that could show me how much everyone liked me.

I eagerly put them on and saw that the school beauty I had a crush on liked me: -15%.

Even my best friend had a glaring -5% floating above his head.

Only the transfer student in the corner, who was always drawing, showed a pale golden +60%.

Worst of all, the glasses suddenly flashed a red warning: “Risk of a temporal paradox detected. Gift will self-destruct unless you raise at least one person's approval rating to 100% within 24 hours.”
