A Tiny Revolution

Have you ever had a moment like this: watching the grand narratives on the news, looking at the feats that changed the world, and suddenly feeling as insignificant as a speck of dust, powerless to make even the tiniest ripple?

Perhaps you think changing the world is for great people, a mission for those who stand in the spotlight. As for ordinary people like us, working nine to five and confined to the routines of daily life, all we can do is look after our own little corner of the world.

But I’m here to tell you: you’re wrong.

The world has never moved forward solely through earth-shattering change. More often, it is pushed, warmed, and changed by the small actions of countless ordinary people.

Offering help, giving a sincere compliment, sticking to a small habit, making a little change that starts with yourself: each is a “small revolution.” There’s no smoke or spectacle, but each has the power to endure through the years.

This book won’t offer empty platitudes or teach you how to become famous overnight. It simply hopes to accompany you as you discover the weight of the “small.” Starting with a shift in perspective, we’ll explore, step by step, the spheres of self, family, neighborhood, workplace, and society, finding the starting point for change that’s right for you.

The things you dismiss as insignificant, the actions you hesitate to begin, are precisely the leverage points that can move the world.

After all, changing the world has never required you to stand at the summit. You only need to take the first step where you are.
