Moonlight on the Brink

Shu Yan's boss set her up on a blind date, but at the restaurant she walked in on the date's actual girlfriend throwing water and causing a scene. The man who stepped in to shield her from the glass of water was a handsome man like the moon, named Si Yanzheng. His clothes were soaked through, the lines of his muscles faintly visible beneath his shirt. Shu Yan couldn't take her eyes off him. She knew she wanted this man. She wanted him for herself. But later, just as she was about to get him, she turned and ran. Si Yanzheng was disciplined and celibate, with a world that ran like clockwork. But after meeting Shu Yan, he began to lose control, and his orderly life fell into chaos. When he finally caught Shu Yan after she ran away, he became relentless. “Baby, you know? I should have done this from the start. Then you wouldn't have run away.” Shu Yan laughed breathlessly. “Mr. Si, your white shirt... is wet again.” For adults, the game has no time difference: only one advances while the other retreats, until one of them loses control first. She spent her whole youth looking up to him. Now she wants him to make it up to her with nights worthy of grown-ups.
