How could a human and a beast ever share true love?
They’re nothing but brutes in human skin. What right do they have to romance humans?
Humanity transmigrated en masse, and billions of people suddenly plunged into a boundless beast-world hell. Deadly disasters swept the land without warning: sandstorms burned cities, miasma corroded bones, and acid rain seared skin. Every calamity brought death on a massive scale. A thirty-day survival countdown loomed over everyone, and one wrong step meant being shattered to pieces.
No matter how handsome they looked, the beastfolk were still just hairy brutes. When their mating season came, they went wild and treated females as playthings, forcibly keeping and abusing them.
Ling Zhaodi was cold and decisive. She dared to take down ferocious beasts with her blade, fought her way through with her martial arts, and fiercely protected her fellow humans. Her bold, formidable bearing drew countless beastfolk to pursue her, stopping at nothing to harass her and beg for her love.
Her stomach churned. She drew her cold blade and pointed it at a beastfolk’s heart, spitting out each icy word: “Humans and beasts belong to different worlds. Reproductive isolation is the law of nature! Keep this up, and you’ll have to get past my blade!”
In dire straits, every side of human nature was laid bare. Some banded together for warmth, built crude fortifications, and struggled to survive through hunting, gathering, clearing land, and farming. Some knelt and fawned, willingly becoming the beastfolk’s lackeys in exchange for scraps to keep themselves alive. Others, desperate for protection, abandoned their dignity and gave themselves to the beastfolk, bearing half-human, half-beast mongrels before ultimately becoming playthings and laughingstocks in the beast world.
Ling Zhaodi was determined to defy fate. She rallied the survivors, fought through disasters and beast hordes, and swore to carve out a path for humanity’s rise in this savage land, build the Dragon Kingdom, and bring order to the world!
