My Life Is a Novel

[My Life Is a Bestseller]

Others record their lives in diaries. I use my entire life to write a novel.

Volume One: A Passionate Poem (School Days). I was a boy reciting poetry by the Shimajiang River, convinced that my future would be a flourish of elegant words on paper.

Volume Two: The Business Wars (Ten Years in Shenzhen). I became a hotshot dealmaker at the banquet table. The clink of glasses was the sound of my ideals shattering. “Brothers” betrayed me, corporate giants crushed me, and I went from Mr. Shen back to the penniless Shen Xiangshao.

Volume Three: Manuscript of a Return Home (A New Beginning). I dragged a battered suitcase back to my equally battered hometown. Everyone said this was the end of the story.

They were wrong.

I picked up my pen and turned half a lifetime of hardship into No Regrets in Life, a nationwide sensation. I bent down and transformed my hometown’s mountains and rivers into the Dongfeng Bridge Scenic Area, making a fortune every day.

Now, sitting amid the scenery I created, my wife and I exchange a smile.

At last, I have written the gentlest ending for this epic novel.

Welcome to my life.
