When Lin Mo wakes up on a slave auction block in another world, all he has left are fragments of memory: an office on Earth, the black cat in his apartment that always loved stepping on his keyboard, and the inexplicably hot paw-shaped birthmark on his neck.
Why does the silver-haired, slit-pupiled cat demon noble watching him from the raised platform seem so familiar? When the noble buys him, a "lowly human," for ten magic crystals, Lin Mo never imagines that this exalted being named Molos is the stray black kitten he once rescued with his own hands: Mo Mo.
Now their positions have been completely reversed. Lin Mo, a slave, is fitted with a jeweled collar and becomes the pet of a noble's "pet." Mo Mo hides the burning intensity in his eyes behind a cold demeanor. He remembers every day and night on Earth, but the cat demon clan's laws forbid him from revealing who he is. When Lin Mo's chance display of skill at making egg fried rice awakens their shared memories, a dangerous game of testing one another begins.
As his memories gradually return, Lin Mo uncovers an even crueler truth: his transmigration was no accident. It was the result of a forbidden magical experiment Mo Mo conducted to repay his kindness. When the cat demon elders move to execute this "human who has defiled a noble," Mo Mo bares his claws against his own people for the first time. Lin Mo, meanwhile, leaps from a slave wagon and chooses exile to protect the little ball of fur that once curled up in his arms.
At a distant mine, blue flames first spring from Lin Mo's palm: the magical mark Mo Mo left on his soul. When the silver-haired noble finally breaks free of his shackles and finds him, the former slave stands tall. "Now, look me in the eyes and get to know me again: not as your property, but as the person who will always save half the bed for you."
I don't even know why I watched half of it. Maybe it was the writing at the beginning that attracted me. But I feel nothing. Too much desire to read on. Do you want to see them reconcile? So what's the cat's problem? Is there anything that readers should not know? I don't know, I don't have much desire to watch it. The writing is okay. But where is the desire to persevere?
Very good book
